MEMBERSHIP SERVICES 

Committee Work - Provides forum for discussion and dissemination of specific matters of mutual interest.

Legislation - Monitors, reports and acts upon Federal, State and International legislation and regulation impacting marine insurance.

Conferences - Organizes conferences where AIMU members can discuss current maritime developments and issues.

Pleasurecraft Surveyor Program - A group of recreational surveyors who are qualified and available.  A profile application of their knowledge and experience are on the website.

Correspondents - Maintains and monitors worldwide network of cargo surveyors, who sometimes act as claims settling agents.

Publications - Provides and distributes publications, including Weekly Bulletin.

Education - Courses, seminars, lecture series, technical papers and guest instructors, involvement in AMIM program, Harold Jackson Scholarship and American Marine Claims Award.

Public Relations - Through articles, speeches, interviews and press releases, responds publicly to marine insurance related issues.

Forms and Clauses - Prepares forms and clauses, which may be used by marine insurers.

Recognition - Annual awards recognizing contributions of AIMU members and others from marine insurance world.

IUMI - Administers relations with IUMI, including participation at annual conference.

Representation - Represents membership in various organizations.  The Board of Marine Underwriters of San Francisco became an affiliate in 1984.

Legal Opinions - Provides access to legal opinions on issues impacting the marine insurance industry.

Statistics - Generates an annual report on operating results by line of business.
