Cold Chain   Loss Control in the Supply Chain:  Exposures   associated with the logistics operations for temperature controlled cargo; pharmaceuticals and food products; packaging and transportation; storage of these products; how underwriters can assess the risk; best practices in pharma. Marine and Insurance Claims Association (MICA) and Marine Claims & Recovery Forum

Cyber Risks: Is the Marine Industry Prepared? In this moderated session, panelists will discuss underwriting, claims, legal perspective and emerging issues  addressing challenges including: how does a marine policy respond; systemic   risk; legal impact on marine; determining proximate cause of loss and defending cyber claims. In the second half of the session panelist will address questions generated by the audience. Presented by D. Hall (Wiggin and Dana LLP ), P. Safety   Management Systems in the USCG Regulations: What it means from an underwriting perspective to have safety management systems implemented from the US government. Presented by Sharon Primerano (The Hartford) and John J. Hannon (U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Commercial Vessel Compliance (CG-CVC-1) Washington DC).
American Marine Insurance Forum (AMIF)

MGA Management: A Marine Perspective: Discussion will include defining an MGA, the advantages and disadvantages of using an MGA; Carrier Acquisition Cost; MGA strategy for success including service, technology and costs; salary, recruitment and other challenges facing MGA’s today. The session will conclude with a Q&A session. Presented by Chris Pesce (Maritime Program Group).

Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA)

The Future of U.S. Weather Catastrophes: This session will review the catastrophe activity we’ve seen in the U.S. over the past few decades, and then discuss the current scientific understanding on how weather catastrophes will change as our planet’s climate continues to warm.  Presented by Mark Bove (Munich Re).

REGISTRATION FEE: $140 members/$280 non-members. Fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, *CE credits and materials on-site. Continental breakfast will be served starting at 8:00 AM. *Applying for 5 CE Credits for NY, NJ, and TX for P&C Agents and Brokers license. Approved for 5 NAMS and SAMS credits.
