About the AIMU Virtual Classroom
AIMU utilizes the GoToWebinar and GoToTraining platforms, which allow full attendee engagement through Q&A and chat panels, and interactive polling with video engaged for all instructors. Attendees can ask questions in real time and share experience and information with other students in the class. All classes are instructed by subject matter experts who are leaders in their individual fields. Each class is designed with 50-minutes of instruction followed by a 10-minute break, as well as a one-hour lunch break for a full-day class.

Session 2: Offshore Wind Farms
US Ship building for the future with Offshore Wind including overview of US leases and wind areas, vessel types currently under construction and activities, as well as implications to crew, tugs, and barges.

Session 3: Overview of Alternative Fuels
The ABS briefing will cover a high-level introduction to the maritime decarbonization drivers from a commercial and regulatory standpoint and then address the three primary areas for emissions reduction; operations, technology, and alternative fuels. The briefing will then explore alternative fuels collectively before providing more detailed information about individual energy sources LNG, Methanol, Ammonia, Hydrogen - as examples). Tradeoffs and industry maturity will be examined.
