Please join us for the AIMU Field Trip “Port of NY and NJ: A Working Waterfront” aboard the Classic Harbor Lines classic style motor yacht “Manhattan II”. Our group will depart from Chelsea Piers in NYC at 9:00 AM sharp (8:30 AM arrival), for a waterborne tour of various Port Authority terminals across New York harbor and return to Chelsea Piers at 1:00 PM. There is a sound system on board that extends to the outside deck area so that all attendees will benefit from the lectures by various marine subject matter experts who will join us to take the opportunity to instruct on the entire trip with particular attention to the ocean marine industry, history, and exposures to take advantage of all there is to learn.

Who Should Attend: Underwriters, claims personnel, investigators, maritime shipowners, attorneys, insurance agents and brokers and others interested in broadening marine insurance industry knowledge.

Fee: $175 member; $350 nonmember (includes lectures, ticket for Manhattan II 4-hour cruise, brunch and soft drinks served onboard)

Dress Code: Business Casual, comfortable shoes.

By Bus
The M23 bus crosses Manhattan on West 23rd Street and stops at 23rd Street and the west side of the highway. Once in the park, walk in the direction of the river, pass the skate park and look for the carousel on the pier.

By Subway
C or E train to 23rd Street/8th Avenue
1 to 23rd Street/7th Avenue
Walk west to the Hudson River, there is a crosswalk at 22nd & 23rd Street and the West Side Highway. Once in the park, walk in the direction of the river, pass the skate park and look for the carousel on the pier.

Parking
There are several parking lots in the area, including:

Chelsea Piers – entrance is at 23rd Street & West Side Highway
Edison Fast Park- 507 West 21st Street (10th-11th Avenue)

Limited to 100 attendees.

Refunds/Cancellations/Substitutions: Refund requests will be honored if received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start date. Cancellations received after the refund deadline and "no shows" are subject to the full registration fees. Substitutions may be made by notifying AIMU via email aimu@aimu.org.
